About Presenters

Sebastian Guerrini is a Designer in Visual Communication (UNLP, Argentina), a graduate of Communication Technologies (Minerva Academy, Netherlands), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Communication and Image Studies at the University of Kent (England). He was born in Argentina in 1965. His specialty is the analysis and design of Institutional and Corporate Identities. He has created over 600 brands in 32 countries. He won international competitions to design the image of the organization, such as the International Co-operative Alliance (London), brand strategy; the Organic World Foundation (Bonn, Germany) and in 2009, the competition for the design of the slogan and logo for the Argentine Pavilion in the Frankfurt Book Fair, for which Argentina was host country in 2010. Author of the graphical version of the Argentine National Emblem, Sebastian also designed the brand of CONICET, the image of the Museum of Natural Sciences of Argentina, and the visual identity of the nation’s Presidency, Ministries, and Secretaries of State. Besides, the identity of the FIBA (the International Theatre Festival of Buenos Aires). In 2022, he designed the “Latina Honey” strategy, identity, and campaign to promote Fairtrade honey worldwide, launched at the Biofach fair (Nuremberg, Germany) and Istanbul. Likewise, he designed the image and promoted flowers from Ecuador and orange juices from Brazil. He is now designing and promoting the organization’s wines worldwide. In 2013, he received the Designer of the Year medal from the UDA – United Designs Alliance. In 2017, ALADI (Latin American Design Association) highlighted him for “his valuable contribution to developing design in Latin America.” He wrote the book “The Powers of Design”. His Ph.D. thesis research is about the impact of image design on the identity and democracy of nations. He teaches Master’s degrees in Design and Communication in Spain.


Albert Young Choi is a prominent figure in the design industry, having an extensive career in academia and professional practice. He founded and formerly served as the United Designs Alliance (UDA) president, an international design association that promotes global communication and understanding through effective design. Dr. Choi taught brand design and experience design as a professor at Hanyang University and has held significant administrative positions, such as Vice-President of International Affairs and Dean of the International Institute of Education. He has also been appointed an honorary professor at Shanghai Normal University in China. Before his academic endeavors, Dr. Choi gained practical experience as a designer at COY Los Angeles and later founded his design firm, Choi & Concept Design, in Los Angeles. His professional work spans local, national, and global projects in the United States, Korea, and China, contributing to his reputation as a versatile and influential designer. As an author, Dr. Choi has contributed to the design field through several noteworthy publications, including “Brand Design: Communication Design for Branding,” “Culture Code Brand Design Methodology,” and “Basic Principles of Visual Communication.” His research interests have led him to undertake a National Research Project on the “National Standard Street Name Sign and Building Number Sign System.” Additionally, Dr. Choi has explored Hangeul typography’s aesthetic and practical applications in his book “Hangeul-Gak” and has designed original typefaces for various design projects. Dr. Choi’s work in analyzing and studying visual language and culture through strategic design has been recognized by leading international design organizations, marking him as a significant contributor to the design field.
