Jeff is a senior lecturer in Visual Communication at the University of Wolverhampton and a member of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). He continues to learn, explore, discover and practice; having completed an MA in Interactive Media, he is currently studying for a PhD. Jeff has worked in the design industry, run his own business and been involved in design education at all levels. He has written and led a number of programmes at Diploma and Undergraduate levels as well as undertaking external roles at a number of national and international universities. His research interests are around the importance and meanings of signs within the man-made environment – he has presented papers at a number of international design conferences and has also been published. He also continues to design and has successfully submitted work for international exhibition and has had his work featured both in design books and periodicals. Currently he is working on an investigation into projected typographic messages – exploring the relationship between projected typographic messages, the host environment and the audience.
