Professor Feifei Wu was once the academic leader of the School of Art and Design at Shanghai Institute of Technology, a first-class professor of the Institute, the director of the Department of Visual Communication, a master’s supervisor, and a member of the Institute’s Academic Committee. Mainly talk taught graphic design courses and received honors such as the Teaching Master of Higher Education Institutions. The teaching team led by her won the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award and other honors.

She is a member of the China Arts and Crafts Association; member of the Shanghai Creative Design Workers Association; member of the China Artists Association; a visiting professor at the School of Art, Design & Fashion of Solent University in Southampton, UK, and so on.

Feifei Wu’s works, including her oil paintings and Single-plate printed works, often explore the collision between tradition and modernity and possess strong cultural connotations and social reflections. For instance, the posters “Thinkover” and “Livevil”, metaphorically represent social topics through the technique of multi-perspective contradictory Spaces. This creative concept echoes the “critical thinking and innovative practice” advocated in her teaching, making art not only a visual expression but also a carrier of thought.

Feifei Wu’s skilled at constructing pictures with simple lines and geometric compositions. She enhances the visual layering through the contrast of colors and light and shadow. This technique retains the sense of order and abstraction of graphic design, making the work both decorative and ideological. In her works, light and shadow are not only visual elements but also carriers of emotions. Therefore, her works often catch the attention of judges, and she has won awards in many important international and domestic design competitions.

As an educator and art practitioner, professor Feifei Wu, renowned for her contributions to the field of art education, not only imparts graphic design skills in the classroom but also attaches great importance to cultivating students’ innovative thinking and critical awareness. Under her guidance, the students’ classroom works have continuously won high-level awards in important international and domestic professional design exhibitions and competitions.

In addition to her outstanding achievements in the field of education, Professor Feifei Wu has also actively participated in various social part-time positions. She is not only one of the founders of the Shanghai Asia Graphic Design Biennale, but also a major promoter, always playing a role in the graphic design industry in China.
