JAN RAJLICH JR.
Born 1950 in Vyskov, the Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia). His father, Jan Rajlich, is a graphic designer and the Brno Biennale founder.
1974 Graduated in architecture from the VUT Brno University
1974–1980 An interior designer, then a freelance graphic designer
1983–1989 Professor at the Brno Art and Design High School
1985–2004 Member of the organization committee of the Inter-national Biennale of Graphic Design, Brno (President in 1993–1998).
President of the Brno Biennale Association since 1999 until present
Member of juries in Kharkiv, Mexico, Moscow, Rzeszow, Taipei, Tehran, Zagreb, and Zilina
Lecturer in Austria, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Scotland, Taiwan, Ukraine, and the USA
Since 1988 organized over 20 national and international exhibitions, e. g.: Visual interpretation, Schenk Volleyball Posters, World at your fingertips, Alphabet of design, Graphic design 2000, ¡°20¡± (20th Brno Biennale), Horizons of Illustration, Identity, Theatre World etc.
He has held over 25 one-man shows of graphic design, poster, computer graphics, serigraphy and painting (Bratislava, Brno, Emmerich, Fort Collins, Moscow, Osaka, Prague, Vienna, Warsaw, etc.). Participated in over 200 exhibitions (Aarhus, Brno, Chaumont, Fort Collins, Kharkiv, Moscow, Lahti, Leipzig, Mexico, Ningbo, Ogaki, Oostend, Osaka, Paris, Sharjah, Sofia, Taipei, Tehran, Tokyo, Trnava, Warsaw, Zagreb, Zilina etc.).
